Aether SX2 and Damon PS2 are the only Play Station 2 emulators out in Google Play for Android Platform. We are here to let you know which is the best between them for you to have a smooth gaming experience of PlayStation 2 Games right in your Android

Damon PS2 

Before Aether SX2, Damon PS2 was extremely popular partially because it was one of the first PS2 emulators on android and secondly because it was one of the most functional PS2 emulators on android. There is an alternative 'Play!' but it is still very early on in development. Everybody was pretty much hyped about. Then comes the real thing; the app had tons of ads and the performance was like trash compared to Aether SX2! 

It couldn’t even run most of the PS2 games. The Pro Version is 9.99$ ~ 10$ without ads but the same performance. Damon ps2 is one emulator that i don’t personally recommend. I’ve taken a look at it. There are some questionable things going on including some questionable permissions. And i’m not overly comfortable using it and on top of that performance at least for me isn’t anywhere near Aether SX2.

Aether SX2

Aether SX2 was released not that long ago. Infact it is still in It's beta version. The Development is ongoing. It's totally free. Even though it is in beta you can say it’s more powerful than the Damon PS2 Pro version. No annoying tons of ads nothing.

The performance in my opinion is way better than damon ps2. The permissions that this app require are a bare minimum. The minimum required in order just for the app to work they’re not being greedy at all. It's got the blessing of pcsx2. Which is an amazing PS2 emulator on pc now. Runs most PS2 games of top tier smoothly at 60 frames per second. 

I would be extremely surprised if the makers of damon PS2 took a look at Aether SX2 and said 'hey you know what..this emulator has a speed in every single way. We might as well just close up shop and call it a day.' we won't be surprised. 

Conclusion 

Aether SX2 is ahead from the Damon PS2 in every aspect. Say speed, say performance or gaming experience the Aether SX2 is the best. 

After seeing the Aether SX2 the Damon developers are ready for counter attack? Or whatever but It has been heavily rumored that damon is coming out with three new emulators switch ps3 and xbox called damon switch, diamond ps3.
